Who May Attend?

Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in Repeaters, Voice-Over-IP links, or Packet Radio, whether or not they are members of the group. Why not come along and meet the sysop? Or maybe you'd like to chat with fellow users, and maybe swap ideas, software etc?

When and Where we meet

Meetings are held approximately bi-monthly, usually on the third Tuesday of the month, starting 8pm (see below for forthcoming dates).

The venue is the Chain Wire Club, Zortech Avenue, Kidderminster (grid ref approximately SO 814 735). It is a clean, comfortable venue with plenty of parking, very quiet, and not smoky. They keep a nice pint of Banks's Bitter, at very reasonable prices.

What Happens At Meetings?

Group business is usually dealt with in a fairly informal way at the beginning of a meeting, then we tend to spend the rest of the evening informally discussing repeater and packet-related problems, ideas, plans etc. The local sysop is usually there to answer queries and offer advice. We usually have a short talk or demonstration on a VHF, UHF, repeater, or new technology topic.
